I Told A Black Lie
A few days ago I went to a salon to book an appointment to get my hair done.
I got to the saloon. Met the owner. Showed her the style I wanted and asked how much it was.
I had some time in the past made the same style but in a different state.
I asked her how much and she told me 4k… and I'd still purchase extensions (attachment) for it.
LoL 4 fucking thousand Naira… I made the same hair some months ago and I paid less than 6k for both service and extension.
In total… everything amounted to 9,400 (Service and extension).
"Okay. I'll come when I'm ready"
Pttf that was a black lie. I wasn't going back to that salon ever again.
Not because I couldn't afford their fees. But because I just can't bring myself to spend that much on a simple style especially when I could get it for waaaay less somewhere else.
And I was 100% sure I won't get exactly what I wanted. So why risk it?
Las las… guess the hairstyle I made? LoL.
All back. Guess how much I spent? 400 naira.
I'll worry about hair next week. Right now… I got other things to worry about.😁😁
Take away…
Yea. You should raise your prices. But 2 things…
1: Be reasonable.
2: Be able to deliver way more than your clients expect.
That way… people won't think twice before swiping their credit cards.
That's it for today's email.
Well… that's not it.
Tomorrow. I'll be giving away a notion document I created. Titled: Killing the email game
If you have an email list or are planning to start building one… then you shouldn't miss it. Not for anything.
