New Post

It was a Sunday afternoon, and my younger bro and I were the only one's home, (parents and older siblings traveled)

We were hungry AF and wanted to get food.

I needed to make a mobile transfer (at the time, there wasn't cash in the country).

I grabbed my phone; the first try failed…

Second try, failed…

Third, fourth, and fifth, all failed.

I was getting frustrated and angry, coupled with the worms protesting in my stomach.

They kept on giving me this error message that I completely ignored.

6th try failed too, 7th, all the way to the 10th all failed. I almost cried.

Then I took a moment to look at the error message I was getting…

It said my account needed an update.

Without the update, I wouldn't be able to make any transactions.

Long story short, I got my account updated and was able to make transactions.

Now, over to the question in your mind…

Why TF did I just tell you this story?

Here's why.

Ever heard of learning, unlearning, and relearning?

Yes?

Cool.

That's why I told this boring ass story.

By learning - I tried to make transactions the good ol ways as I have always done…

Unlearning - it didn't work, because my account needed an update (I had to accept that fact and change my mind from the old ways)

Relearning - I had to change what I knew to be true, to what really is (updating my account)

This is a typical example of how the world works…

Every single day, what we know to be true is upgraded one way or the other.

Once upon a time, there wasn't an iPhone 14 in the market, but now there is, AIs were not as common as they are now…

But we have adapted to these things knowingly or unknowingly…

We have accepted them, and have lived with them.

But there is one part that you still haven't thought about…

YOU!

You live today like you lived yesterday, and you plan to live tomorrow like you lived today.

No acknowledging the fact that just as apps on our phones need an upgrade, so also do you as a human need upgrade.

Hone your skill, work out more, have a bigger dream, take more action, do more…

Unlearn what no longer holds true, and relearn what does.

That my dear reader, is how you grow.

“Strive each day to be better than the previous”.

That's it for today.

This is my first official email since I started this newsletter…

Tell me what you think about it

Also, feel free to write me back.

Have a great rest of the week.
